MONDAYS

Over 45's Football Club 7.00-8.00PM (Sports Hall or MUGA - Weather dependant)
This session is run by a community based group of men all over 45 years who meet weekly to play football. Anyone over 45 is welcome and the cost is £2 per week. You will need non marking training shoes and refreshments.

Badminton Club 8.00-10.00PM
Run by qualified volunteer coaches on a Monday evening from 8-10pm these session are for 18+ the current price is £3 per hour payable on the night. The club has a few spare rackets and shuttle cocks and there are more available to hire through the reception. You will need non marking training shoes and sportswear.

Active Scilly Junior High Five Netball 3:45-4:45pm
These sessions are led by Adam May as part of the Active Scilly team. For a course of 6 weeks worth of lessons, it is £20.00 for members and £24.00 for non-members. Please call the Sports Hall on 01720 424373 to book.

Step Aerobics 6:00-7:00pm (Starting Tuesday 12th June)
A form of aerobic exercise using an elevated platform, (the step). The height can be tailored to individual needs by inserting risers under the step. Step classes are great fun and high energy you will need loose clothing refreshments and non marking trainers. Sessions are led by qualified step instructor Tess Lloyd and will cost £5.00 for members and £6.00 for non-members

Akido 7.00-8.30pm
Aikido is a modern, non-violent martial art the purpose of which is to promote a sense of inner calmness and peace of mind. It is an active recreational activity, which promotes both physical and mental health as well as spirituality. Aikido is a non-aggressive, non-competitive and purely defensive martial art. Each student practices to his or her own level of fitness. The study of Aikido helps an individual develop confidence and a more positive attitude. Both sexes and all ages practice equally. You will need to wear loose clothing.

Table Tennis 7:00-8:30pm
These sessions run every Tuesday evening 7-9pm. everyone is welcome, although children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. The cost is £1.50 per hour payable on the night. You will need non marking footwear.

Five Islands School Football Club 5:30-6:30PM - Sports Hall or MUGA - Weather Dependant

These sessions are run through the school by volunteer Level 1 and 2 coaches; Sessions are open to all students although your child will need to become a member to be covered by insurance. The cost of membership for a year is £20. Term time only.

Circuit Training 5.30-6.30pm
These sessions are run by school PE teacher Martyn Songhurst. The class is designed to improve strength and aerobic fitness using a variety of equipment and body weight exercises. All ages welcome 16+ and are at a cost of £1 you will need none marking training shoes, sportswear and refreshments.

Five A Side Football 6.30-8.30pm
Indoor football is run on Wednesday evenings from 6.30 to 8.30 and there is no limit to the number of people able to take part. Random teams of 5 players are picked to take part in round-robin games lasting 8 minutes. Players of any ability can take part, and we welcome anyone over the age of 18, or younger players can join in if accompanied by a responsible adult. Although competitive, the emphasis is on fun and enjoyment. We ask that competitors bring £5 to each two-hour session. No kit is provided other than bibs.

Basketball 8.30-9.30
These sessions are run by a community based group of people. The emphasis here is on fun, drills and games where possible. You will need loose clothing non marking footwear and some refreshment although water and juices can be purchased at reception. All ages welcome.

Judo Club 6.00-8.00pm

Judo is run by a committee of community based people and coached by fully qualified senseis. Booking is essential due to waiting lists and insurance needs. Term time only.

Netball Club 8:00-9:00pm
This is open to anyone interested in playing netball and learning the rules of the game. Great for all ages. Sessions are between £3-£5 per person per session depending on how many play.

These sessions are run by the local cricket club, all equipment is supplied participants must be 18+. The sessions include indoor bowling practice and batting confidence.

Saturdays

Active Scilly Mini Tennis (bookings only) MUGA 9.00-11.30AM
These tennis lessons are taught by an accredited tennis coach run through the Active Scilly service. Children are taught in small groups that don't exceed 8 at a time; they are held on the MUGA at the Five Islands School Site unless the weather is inclement when they are delivered inside the Queen Elizabeth Sports Hall.

Isles of Scilly Hockey Group 2.00-3.30PM (MOVING TO FRIDAY 5:30-7:00PM AFTER GIG WEEKEND)
These hockey sessions are run by the Isles of Scilly hockey group, they are held on the MUGA situated at the Five Islands School site on Saturdays from 2-3.30pm Any one is welcome to come along and have a go, although you will need a pair of shin pads a gum shield and a good grip pair of trainers. The club do have a few spare hockey sticks but if you are going to keep it up it would be better to get your own. The cost of a session is £3 or £20 for 10 weeks,

Sundays

Courts are available to book on Sundays between 10am - 2pm at £7.50 for an hour. Equipment available for badminton, tennis, basketball, netabll, table tennis and much more!

Trampolining Club
Classes for both children and adults will be delivered from the Sports Hall at £3 per session for children and £5.50 per session for adults. Children from school age+ can attend but must obtain British Gymnastics Insurance at £12-£15 for the year information on this can be obtained from the Sports Hall Reception.

Zumba
Exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party™ that's moving millions of people toward joy and health. Delivered by Zumba qualified instructor Amy Hiron these sessions will cost £5.50 per hour for further details please contact the Sports Hall Reception.
