CARN GWAVAL SPORTS FACILITIES
WHAT WE OFFER
Queen Elizabeth II Community Sports Hall
This
is the equivalent size of 4 badminton courts and is available for a
variety of sports and activities. The hall features an industry
standard floor surface with various court markings, division nets,
equipment stores, and viewing gallery. Adjacent is the reception area,
changing rooms, lockers and shower facilities.

Gym
The
fitness centre will be located at Carn Gwaval from 5.30pm, Friday 24th
February. Qualified instructors are available at all sessions to offer
fitness advice. There are a range of resistance and cardiovascular
machines and free weights.
The current timetable will apply, however extended opening hours are to be introduced in March.
Reduced prices for unlimited use also available. Contact the Sports

Multi Use Games Area (MUGA)
This
play area is the equivalent size of two tennis courts and is marked out
for Five a Side Football, Tennis and Hockey and has equivalent goals
and nets available for use.
Netball Court
This
Netball Court includes markings and nets for basketball as well as
netball, and features a green polymeric/rubberised surface.
HOW TO BOOK
Advance hire bookings can be made through the Sports Hall Reception, Normandy Pool
and One Stop Shop at the Town Hall during
published opening hours. For enquiries or bookings via telephone contact 01720 424373
RECEPTION OPENING HOURS:
- Sports Hall: 5-8pm, Mon-Fri. 10-4pm Sat, 10-2pm Sun.
- Town Hall Reception: 9am-4.30pm, Mon-Fri.

* Concessionary Hire: Where
concessionary rates are offered to local clubs and community groups
(over 6 persons) who are made up of over 65% of users that are: Over 60
years, Under 16 years, those with a disability.
Prices excluding VAT are applicable to affiliated club and group bookings of over 10 weeks or more, made at one time.

As this is a new facility we currently do not have
a full timetable of sporting sessions and availability. However we hope

Conditions of Hire
In order to book any of our facilities you will need to fill in a
booking form. These are the usual forms (including relevant terms and conditions) that you would expect when hiring a similar facility.

Footwear Advice
Non marking indoor shoes should be worn in the Sports Hall. On the MUGA
or Netball Court, studs or blades cannot be worn as they would damage
the surface. Suitable shoes are trainers or Astroturf shoes.
